Paella anyone? Muchas gracias

With the spate of street parties a distant memory after the Royal Wedding in April, it was lovely to see Regent’s Street transformed into a Spanish fiesta with the sixth Taste of Spain event on 2 June.

Over 500,000 flocked to the event that was produced by Wilde Ones for the Spanish Tourist Board. Read more on Paella anyone? Muchas gracias…

Meet your Prince at One Great George Street

A happy coincidence that a Prince William look-a-like works at One Great George Street, a Westminster venue that was perfectly located to view the route of the newlyweds on the big day a few weeks ago.

He could have easily confused people in the crowds on the streets, I’m surprised he wasn’t used by the Royal minders as a decoy on the day.

You’re hired! Warwick Castle announces it has hired a Dragonlogist

Following on from my last post about Warwick Castle’s call for dragonlogist’s http://bit.ly/iki2I3, I am pleased to say someone has been appointed.

Rose Jardine is a research specialist and has a lifetime passion for dragonlogy. She will be on hand to answer any visitors questions to the venue’s new Merlin: The Dragon Tower attraction due to launch on 16 April.

Event received an invite for the launch event which came with a vial of dragon’s breath, a stinky concoction that put us off our lunch.

Here’s to hoping that Jardine’s actual breath is minty fresh!

Any future Dragonologists out there?

I had to double check the date wasn’t 1st April when I saw this call for a consultant dragonologist at Warwick Castle for its new attraction, Merlin: The Dragon Tower.

With responsibilities to include responding to enquiries from staff and members of the public on any dragon-related issues and to have extensive knowledge of dragon myth and legend, I can only imagine the weird and wonderful applications Warwick Castle received.

They have had 2,300 job views on the Monster website and deadline for applications is 25 March. Will be interesting to see if one of the interview tasks will be fighting off a dragon. Swords at the ready.
